MHDPC Events

The Mt Hood Doberman Pinscher Club (MHDPC) regularly organizes events for Doberman enthusiasts, breeders, and owners. These events include dog shows, training sessions, educational programs, and community meet-ups that promote responsible breeding and proper care of Doberman Pinschers.

Conformation

Dog shows, or “conformation” events concentrate on the distinctive features of purebred dogs and help to preserve these characteristics by providing a forum for evaluating breeding stock.

Obedience and Rally

Working as a team with their human partner brings out the best traits in a Doberman. AKC Obedience competition encourages accuracy and precision.

Agility

Dobermans excel at agility. Their speed, power and athleticism, make them naturals at the sport. With countless hours of training and conditioning the most successful competitors have mastered the art of teamwork.

Scent Work

Scent Work is the newest AKC performance sport that Doberman’s are excelling in.In so many dog sports the handler is in control but this isn’t true in Scent Work. Neither the dog nor handler knows where the target odor is hidden.

DPCA Working Aptitude Evaluation

The Working Aptitude Evaluation was developed to give breeders and owners a consistent method to assess the temperament of their dogs.
